For farms and irrigation, a solar pump draws water straight from the sun with no grid connection and no fuel bills. The pump runs hardest exactly when the sun is strongest and the crops are thirstiest.
It is one of the most cost-effective uses of photovoltaics in Cyprus, and one we have installed for years.
